As the next phase of the MND Charter started; East Kent Group were there at the launch. The next phase of the Charter is called ?Championing the Charter on your doorstep?. The idea is that councils adopt the principles of the Charter to support people living with MND and their families.
Sixteen councils have adopted the Charter. Kent County Council was the first county council to adopt the Charter in May 2014.
On Friday 4th March, Katy Styles was amongst other staff and campaigners who went to the Conservative Councillors Conference to raise awareness of the Charter amongst councillors. Katy also wanted to celebrate that Kent had signed the Charter by giving Paul Carter, leader of KCC a pack of information and leaflets to show their support of people living with MND and their families.
