We held a Support Meeting on Saturday 6th June at the Folkestone Red Cross Centre.

The weather was amazing which probably was an advantage because we had a fantastic turn out, in total there were 28 of us which included 5 committee members.

Judy Keay introduced our new Regional Care Development Advisor, Cathy Finnis.?? Cathy gave a brief talk and outlined her role within the organisation.

The general feeling mentioned by a number of people who attended was that could we perhaps include a speaker at our next meeting. This would however inevitably involve a longer period for the meeting and would perhaps detract from the friendly and chatty atmosphere that always develops at the Folkestone meetings.

Saturday’s meeting was particularly successful with lots of free exchanges of ideas including dietary ideas. People were exchanging phone numbers and face book details and there was a real good feel buzz about the meeting. It was suggested that we put an email address on the invitations for people to reply as well as the normal reply slip.
