Saltwood Boxing Day Run – 2013

Last year 700 people packed the village green, as hundreds of runners braved the elements for the annual Saltwood run. ?They were rewarded with glorious sunshine, as they?battled a very wet and slippery course around the Brockhill and Saltwood countryside.

There were runners from as far away as Australia, Singapore and South Africa, running? in the event which has taken place for the last 38 years. The winner was Michael Coleman of South Kent Harriers, with Mathilde Heaton of Belgrave Harriers winning the ladies?prize.

The event is held each year to raise funds for MND, in memory of founder runner Terry?Davies who died of MND a decade ago and a substantial sum has been raised for MND?in East Kent.

Meet outside The Castle Pub at Saltwood, Kent.? Start time 12.00 noon.

Runners?can enter on the day.
